It is surrounded by an enchanting countryside that offers
varied landascape and rich nuances of colour: from the purple
rocks to the infinite variations of green in the woods nearby.
This inspiring landscape is part of the spiritual and cultural
heritage of the town. The ancient city of Tusena flourished
here in Etruscan times and unperishable memories of a long

The surrounding countryside is dotted with tombs dated from
different Etruscan period. The famous Tomba della Regina (the
Queen's tomb), from the Curunas family, has revealed several
important sarcophagi belonging to the post hellenistiuc era.
