In the green Umbrian countryside, the Relais
Il Canalicchio looks like a small jewel nestled at the top
of a hill, set in astonishing silence: from every corner,
amidst the green of the trees, you can hear birds singing,
you forget the rest of the world and its rhythm of life.
Within, historical and rural reminders are apparent, the hilltop
Castle remains in tact. It is quite fascinating, maybe for
its characteristic Umbrian stone walls which continue to the
reception area, or for its splendid and large millstone and
wine press, or for its arches and terracotta flooring, who

is paid to its classical liberty style, each environment retains
its individuality through the variety of colours, curtains
are coordinated with the wall paper, the abat-jour, the furnishings.
Each room has its own name such as, "Contessa di Oxford",
"Isabella Rubens", "Duca di Buckingham",
"Duchessa di Norfolk". All rooms have a climatizer
system and are provided with a minibar, sat TV and safety
deposit box. The restaurant blends in perfectly with the surroundings
and serves traditional local cooking with an attentive service.

Il Relais can be reached coming from the north by the A1 motorway,
exit for Valdichiana, go towards Perugia-Terni as far as Ripabianca.
Coming from the south A1, exit for Orte, go towards Terni
and take the road leading to Perugia-Cesena (E45) as far as
Ripabianca, follow the road signs for Relais "Il Canalicchio".
